We are pleased to announce that the Wisconsin Historical Society’s Board of Curators and the Wisconsin Genealogical Society have chosen Wisconsin Kraemers for the Best Book Award for 2016. The award will be presented at the Fall Conference of the Society in October. This first volume tells the story of the Kraemers of Tiefenbach, Bavaria and Plain, Wisconsin from 1649 to 1866 when Paul and Walburga Kraemer immigrated to America. A second volume due out in 2017 will tell the story of Paul and Walburga’s family in Wisconsin from 1866 to 2000.
